Our Trip to Chicago

Lily has been quite the traveler lately. Luke has had to travel a ton for work, so instead of sitting at home by ourselves we took the opportunity to go to my parents house in Chicago...twice:) It was so fun to hang out with my parents and little sister Jess, as well as Jordan and her family! It is an understatement to say that Lily is very bored now that she is stuck at home with only me all day.

Lily did really good on most of the flights. She had a fussy time on one flight but other than that she was a little angel:) We definitely have learned that Lily is a total people person. In the airport she just loved to watch everyone and didn't know what to do with all of the fun, new things to look at. On one of our flights we were sitting in the back of the plane and had to walk to the front of the plane to go to the bathroom with the changing table. As I walked down the aisle with Lily on my shoulder, I heard a bunch of little giggles and awes. When I got back to my seat the guy next to me said that Lily was smiling so big the whole way to the bathroom and that everyone was loving it.

When we flew home from Chicago, we almost missed our flight, even though we were at the airport 1.5 hours early and didn't have to wait long to check our bags! Midway airport security is horrible. When we finally got through security they were calling my name over the intercom saying our flight was going to take off. I was literally running through the airport with Lily in her carseat with a poopy blowout diaper that didn't get changed until after we took off. At least we made the flight though:)

I am not very good at taking pictures and I forgot my camera on the first trip, so I stole some pictures from my sister:)

Our first visit to see Jordan and the boys!

We got to watch Jess at two track meets and it was so fun.

Its nice to be home and getting settled back into a routine, but we sure do miss everyone and had so much fun!

You are so brave. I barely dare to go to the grocery store with Jacob alone, let alone fly across the country! Good job! Looks like you had fun. She is ADORABLE.
