Lilys Room

This summer Luke had to travel a lot for work. He was in DC for two months so I found some projects to do around the house. I spent a lot of my free time working on Lily's room. It was really fun and I think it turned out pretty cute. There are still a few things I want to do to it but for the most part it is done.

I looked for crib bedding that I liked for a long time and couldn't find anything that great that wouldn't cost hundreds of dollars. One day I was at hobby lobby and saw some fabric on sale and figured I might as well try making it because it would be way cheaper and cuter than a lot of the stuff I could get at a decent price. I don't love the fabric but it was cheap and I didn't want to spend tons of money on fabric when I didn't know if it would even turn out, but it turned out pretty good! If there is a next time I will be more confident in my sewing and maybe go for some cuter, more expensive stuff:)

My sister Jordan made the adorable quilt on the chair. I (and Lily) seriously got so spoiled. Pretty much everything cute Lily has was made by someone for us. We especially owe my sister...she made her multiple quilts/blankets, hair bows, clothes, a car seat cover, and a nursing cover (and probably more that I'm not remembering right now)! Best sister ever and so much cuter than anything I would ever make:) We also got lots of things from grandmas, great grandmas, and aunts and we are so grateful for our wonderful family!

I'm so glad you posted these nursery pictures. You did such a great job!!! The whole room is beautiful! I LOVE the two different colors of pink on the walls and the bead board and the pictures behind the crib and the pom pom ball things in the corner...did you make those too?? If I ever get a girl you need to come help me!
