Wedding! Congrats Dallin and Jacque!

It is definately the wedding season! One of my really good friends got married in May and I was lucky enough to be able to go! It was such a beautiful and fun wedding! I was also really excited when I found out that it was going to be catered by culinary crafts, which can be found here. They are a catering company in Utah that does really cool things! Sorry I am posting a lot of pictures of this, but it is for friends who were not able to go. (Sorry it took so long Dom!)

Culinary Crafts, so yummy!

Off to Connecticut!!!!

We have officially moved and are now living in Connecticut for the summer! It is definately not a fun process--packing, storing, driving, etc. however it is fun to go to a new place every summer. The last few weeks we have kind of had a lot going on. We packed up our apartment in Provo, I flew to Seattle for my best friend, Lindsey's, wedding. Meanwhile, Luke finished finals and drove all the way to Connecticut by himself! Then I just flew into Connecticut this morning from Washington. I had an overnight flight, so when I got to our new apartment I was totally tired and kind of dreading the messy house and unpacked boxes and bags I was expecting to come home to. But when I got to our apartment, everything was unpacked, organized, and cleaned! It was such a nice surprise! What an awesome husband I have:) So now we are just in Rocky Hill, Connecticut for the summer while Luke sales for APX alarm.

Lindsey and David's wedding in Washington. This was so much fun and she looked beautiful!

April 14th was our 2 year anniversary!!! Last year on our anniversary we were in the process of moving to Chicago for the summer and didn't do anything, so this year we tried to make up for that. Over the weekend, we went and stayed in Park City. Luke had never been there so it was fun to go around to all of the shops and to the Olympic park.

On our actual anniversary Luke surprised me with tickets to the Britney Spears and Pussycat Doll concert!

Some people have wanted to see pictures of our apartment. Although we don't live there anymore:(, here are some pics of our first apartment in Provo. Hopefully we will be able to find somehwere good to live when we get back! Oh, and you can see my finished throw pillows on the couches.

Valentines, scooter, and fabric!

So I guess I have a few things to blog about...First, Valentines! This year we celebrated on the 13th because we really wanted to try The Roof restaurant (the buffet at the top of the Joseph Smith Buildling)but they were all booked for valentines day, so we decided to go on Friday instead. It was pretty fun...Luke and I both got super stuffed and the food was really good. I don't know if we would ever go again, because it is a little pricey, but it was really fun to go once! By far, the best part was the view, it's so beautiful! On Saturday we hung out with Luke's sister Laurel and then went over to Tori and Sean's house that night and made yummy navajo tacos!

So the last couple of weeks we have had really nice weather here, and we are all loving it! Every morning Luke drives to school and has to leave pretty early because he has to park really far away and then walk to his building, and everyday he would see all the scooters and bikes parked right next to the building and it always made him so jealous! He has been wanting a scooter for awhile, but we decided that we should wait to get one until after the summer so we wouldn't have to worry about storing it and all that stuff while we are gone. Well...the nice weather has made it so there are people on scooters and bikes EVERYWHERE in Provo and Luke has given in to the pressure...he found a really good deal on a scooter on craigslist and we went and saw it and bought it last weekend! Luke loves it! We had to go out to Eagle Mountain to get it, which is by Tori and Sean's house, so we stopped and said hi to them too. Sean gave Luke some pretty snazzy gloggles to wear for the ride home so that his eyes wouldn't get all dried out.

For my graduation, my parents got me a sewing machine! With moving and everything it has taken me awhile to get it out and use it, but I am doing my first project right now. I am making pillows for my couches! My sister Jordan is super good at sewing and being creative, so I have called her a lot to help me know how much fabric to buy, where to buy it, how to make the pillow covers, and etc. Now that I have fabric, I want her to see it so I decided to post it, even though I have only made one pillow cover so far! It took me a little while to find fabric that I really liked, but here it is! I will post a picture when they are all done (which will hopefully be soon).

Luke's Birthday

So, last Saturday was Luke's Birthday! We had a lot of fun and it was great for Luke to take a break from school all day. First, I made him breakfast and then we went and saw the movie Taken. We both really liked it, however, I am now very freaked out about traveling anywhere outside of the United States without my husband, dad, brother, or some guy to protect me. After that we went to dinner at Ruby River steakhouse. Luke loves steak and we had never been there, so we figured it was worth a try. It was alright, but overall neither of us were that impressed.

For his birthday, he got the game Ticket to Ride, a Playstation 3 game that I swear he said he wanted, but apparently had no interest in (so we will return it), and a remote control for the Playstation 3 for when we watch movies. He also got new workout clothes and sweats from my parents, which we both love because he used to always steal my big, comfy sweatpants and I hated it!

I'm glad we got to spend a day just for him! He is such an awesome husband and I don't think I tell him that enough! Especially lately, I have been really irritable and he is just always so nice and funny, and can always put a smile on my face! That's why I love him:)

Hey!

Yes! I am actually posting something on our blog! Despite the fact that I created a blog months ago, I clearly have not been very devoted to it. Now that I'm done with school and don't have much else to do, I'll try to be better at posting:) Anyways, here is a little update on what has been going on in our lives....

I graduated in December from BYU-I with a Bachelors in Psychology and a minor in Marriage and Family. Since then, we have moved from Rexburg to Provo, where Luke is now attending BYU. The move was a little bittersweet because we were really sad to leave friends and family, especially Grammy T (my Grandma whose basement we lived in)! But I was SO happy to get away from the freezing cold winters! So far, Provo is going really well and we are finally getting settled in to our new place.

Here are some things we have been up to for the past couple of months...

Grandpa, Me, and Grammy T when I graduated. They were so nice to throw me a little graduation party with family and friends.

For my graduation present, Luke planned a trip for us to go to Mexico! It was so much fun and a perfect break for both of us.

We hung out at the pool and beach....

played tennis...

Got lots of yummy drinks and ate tons of delicious food...

Luke was serenaded...

and we went on ziplines and cliff jumping...

Overall, it was such an awesome trip and we had so much fun!

After we went to Mexico, we went to Chicago for Christmas at my parents. It was really fun to have my entire family there!

My parents and all of my siblings...Jordan, Tyler, Cameron, Braden, and Jessica

One reason we LOVE going to my parents house is that there is tons of really good food to eat all of the time! I caught Luke and my brother-in-law, Ben, eating ice cream cake at 10am...

We went to a Jazz game a couple of nights ago and it was way fun! We brought my brother Cameron, and his friend Scott Shuman with us!

We started a blog!

So i have been kind of reluctant to start a blog because we don't really have much to put on it, but everyone keeps telling me i need to so i finally am! Luke and I are in Chicago for the summer and are so excited because my parents will be pretty close to us! We have just been hanging out at their house for a few days and will move into our apartment next week. Hopefully it will be a good summer!
